Job Description

  • Comply with all health and safety protocols according to company procedures and policies.
  • Complete all work-related documents (e.g., job cards, work permits, hot work permits, confined space work permits) as per company procedures.
  • Monitor the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
  • Inspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify potential issues and report findings to the supervisor.
  • Perform emergency and assigned welding and cutting tasks as directed by the mechanical supervisor.
  • Study and sketch parts to be fabricated, determining the required operations.
  • Identify and repair welding defects in components.
  • Perform gas cutting operations as necessary.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
  • Plan and inform the supervisor of material requirements for tasks.
  • Transport welding machines, cylinders, and materials to workstations, and set up components for welding or cutting according to specifications.
  • Ensure the safety and security of company assets under your control.
  • Actively participate in projects such as the installation, upgrades, and relocation of machines, as well as other maintenance work.
  • Prepare tool history cards and maintain records for the tool room and storeroom.
  • Keep records of maintenance logs and report daily activities.
