Make Your Move is an E-Commerce career web portal of Mohammed Enterprises (Tanzania) Limited (METL) which is committed to help aspiring applicants to find jobs and also aid employers in their quest to locate ideal candidates. Through this privacy policy, METL aims to respect your online privacy and recognize the need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information you share with us. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") set forth principles and guidelines governing the protection of your personal data. METL describes how METL collects, uses, discloses and transfers personal information of users through its websites and applications, including through www.makeyourmove.co.tz, mobile applications and online services (hereinafter collectively referred as the "Platform"). This policy shall apply to all those who visit the Platform or whose information METL otherwise receives in connection with its services such as contact information of individuals associated with METL including partners (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Users"). For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "you" or "your" shall mean the person who is accessing the Platform.

"Personal information" (PI) - means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person including common identifiers such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. a. Name, email address, password, city including your country, contact number and company/organization that you are associated with, when you sign up for alerts on the Platform;

Information that one would usually include in a resume, including name, contact details including e-mail address and mobile number, WhatsApp number, birth date, gender, age, race, work experience, educational qualifications, data relating to your current and past remuneration or salary, a copy of your resume, etc. when you register on the Platform;
c. Information about the services that you use and how you use them, including log information and location information, when you are a user of the services through the Platform;
d. We may also collect information about whether you are eligible for any affirmative action programmes or policies, if you opt to provide such information;
e. When you communicate with METL or use the Platform to communicate with other Users, we collect information about your communication and any information you choose to provide;
f. When you visit the Platform, we use cookies to automatically collect, store and use technical information about your system and interaction with our Platform;
g. When you use a device to access the Platform, METL may collect technical or other related information from the device as well as the device location;
h. To the extent permitted by law, METL may record and monitor your communications with us to ensure compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations and our internal policies. This may include the recording of telephone conversations;
i. If you choose to sign in with your social media account to access the Platform, or otherwise connect your social media account with the services of the Platform, you consent to our collection, storage, and use, in accordance with this Privacy Policy, of the information that you make available to us through the social media interface. We restrict access to your Personal Information to employees who we believe reasonably need to know/or that information to fulfil their jobs to provide, operate, develop, or improve our products or services. METL does not disclose, transfer or share your Personal Information with others except with
a. Our affiliated, associated and group companies to the extent required for our internal business and/or administrative purposes and/or general corporate operations and for provision of services;
b. Potential recruiters if we determine that your resume matches a particular job description/ vacancy available with such recruiters. By registering on the Platform and consenting to the terms of this Policy, you agree that METL may contact you or forward your resume to potential recruiters;
c. Third parties including enforcement, regulatory and judicial authorities, if we determine that disclosure of your Personal Information is required to a) respond to a court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or b) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of METL’s Terms of Use or as otherwise required by law;
d. Third party service providers and marketing partners that METL engages to a) provide services over the Platform on METL’s behalf; b) maintain the Platform and mailing lists; or c) communicate with you on METL’s behalf about offers relating to its products and/or services. METL will take reasonable steps to ensure that these third-party service providers are obligated to protect your Personal Information and are also subject to appropriate confidentiality / non-disclosure obligations.
e. Third party advertisers to display advertisements to you when you visit the Platform. The third-party advertisers include financial service providers (such as banks, insurance agents, stock brokers and mortgage lenders) and non-financial companies (such as stores, airlines, and software companies). These companies may use information about you and your visits to this Platform and other web sites to provide advertisements on this Platform.
f. METL do not encourage any activity of downloading the CVs and any personal details from the website by our registered users and sharing them with any third party. Any such activity is strictly prohibited. METL shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever and do not take any responsibility of any kind whatsoever from any third party against such disclosure of his/her CV and/or personal details.
g. METL reserves the right without any claim to share the reference details mentioned in any CV and contact such details for verification purpose.
6. THIRD PARTY CONTENT:
Please be aware that the Platform sometimes contains links to other sites that are not governed by this Policy. Users may be directed to third-party sites for more information, such as advertisers, blogs, content sponsorships, vendor services, social networks, etc.
METL makes no representations or warranties regarding how your information is stored or used on third-party servers and METL shall not take any responsibility of the same. We recommend that you review the applicable privacy statements and policies of each third-party site linked from the Platform to determine their use of your personal information.
7. PAID AND FREE POSTINGS:
Most listings on METL websites are free, only featured listings are paid. When a fee is applicable, the User will be prompted to accept the fee before creating the featured listing. After submission of a featured listing, an invoice for the appropriate amount will be sent to the Users account email. All fees paid shall be non-refundable in the event that the Content is removed from the Site for violating the terms and conditions or the account holder terminates the featured listing prior its expiration date.
8. CHILDREN:
To use the Platform, you agree that you must be of the age of majority as per your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of majority, you must use the Platform under the supervision of your parent, legal guardian or responsible adult.
9. RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Your Personal Information will not be retained by METL unless it is necessary for the purposes for which the Personal Information is processed. At the expiry of such periods, your Personal Information will be deleted or archived in compliance.
10. CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:
You can keep your Personal Information accurate and up-to-date. Under no circumstances shall METL be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages even if METL has been advised of the possibility of such damages, resulting from any aspect of the User use of the website or the service, whether the damages arise from use or misuse of the website, from inability to use the website or the service, or the interruption, suspension, modification, alteration, or termination of the website. Such limitation shall also apply with respect to damages incurred by reason of other services or products received through or advertised on the website or any links on the website, as well as by reason of any information or advice received through or advertised in connection with the website or any links on the website. These limitations shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold MeTL, its officers, subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, assigns, directors, officers, agents, service providers, suppliers and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including attorney fees and court costs, made by any third party due to or arising out of content you submit, post or make available through the website, your use of our services, your violation of terms and conditions whether express or implied, your breach of any of the representations and warranties herein, or your violation of any rights of another.
METL does not store any account related information or any credit / debit card details hence METL shall not be liable for any loss or damage sustained by users as a result of any disclosure (inadvertent or otherwise) of any information concerning the user's account, credit cards or debit cards in the course of any online transactions or payments made for any products and/or services offered through the Platform.
In the event you shared any Personal Information which was not requested by METL during registration process, METL shall not be liable for any information security breach or disclosure in relation to such information.
