The Tracking Operator shall maintain an updated list of all operational vehicles in their division.
The Tracking Operator shall arrange vehicle availability and coordinate with the Technician to ensure timely installation of tracking devices.
The Tracking Operator shall verify each installation, check all tracking features, and obtain signed Job Cards from the Unit Head, Branch Manager, or Logistics Manager.
He shall monitor vehicle movements in real time to ensure efficient operations, adherence to designated routes and schedules, and compliance with company driving policies.
The Tracking Operator shall escalate any exceptions or panic alerts to the Unit Head, Branch Manager, or Logistics Manager as applicable, and notify drivers where necessary.
Any issues or discrepancies identified through the tracking system—including unauthorized vehicle use or route deviations—shall be promptly reported to the Logistics Manager.
In coordination with the concerned superior, the Tracking Operator shall alert the Tracking Support Center (TSC) team based on panic alerts.
The Tracking Operator shall follow up on repair and maintenance requests for tracking devices with the MeTL TSC customer care team.
The Tracking Operator shall prepare daily and monthly reports and submit them to the Unit Head, Branch Manager, and Logistics Manager, with a copy to TSC Customer Care.
Daily reports include: Vehicles not generating data • Unauthorized stoppages (more than 30 minutes or as per unit policy) • Kilometers traveled as per logbook vs. Mzone/MoTrack • Late-night driving • Overspeeding (above 80 km/h) • Vehicle transfer details • Workshop entry and return details • Daily vehicle status report • Device maintenance report
Monthly report includes: Vehicle monthly utilization and fuel consumption
Unit Heads may request additional or revised reports as needed. Such requests shall be accommodated subject to technical feasibility. If a request is not technically feasible, an alternative solution will be provided.
The Tracking Operator shall inform the Tracking Supervisor and Unit Head of any device not updating before the vehicle departs for a trip or safari.
The Tracking Operator is responsible for generating and publishing all daily and monthly reports, monitoring alerts, and immediately informing the Logistics Supervisor and Unit Heads.
The Tracking Operator shall collaborate with the Logistics Manager, Branch Manager, and Unit Head to generate any additional tracking-related reports as required.
He shall remain flexible and provide support wherever needed.
