Job Description

Inspect the stock of sisal fibers entering from the drying yard to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.
Conduct quality tests and analyses of sisal fibers to confirm they meet required standards.
Establish and implement procedures and guidelines for quality control.
Identify and address any issues or defects in sisal fibers.
Record and maintain accurate documentation of quality control procedures and results.
Communicate effectively with team members regarding quality control matters.
Collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions based on quality control findings.
Monitor and track the performance of sisal fibers throughout the entire production process.
Ensure that decorticated sisal fibers distributed in the drying yard are free from any unprocessed bundles.
Report on the quality of decorticated sisal fibers and ensure that any issues are promptly resolved.
Ensure that fibers in the drying yard are turned daily and that sufficient space is available for new fibers to dry on the same day.
Ensure that drying fibers are turned evenly if they become wet.
Prevent any sisal fibers from falling to the ground or being lost.
Maintain accurate records of fibers being dried in the yard.
Ensure there is no shortage or loss of fibers during drying or turning in the yard.
Maintain the drying yard in good condition, including repairing, cleaning (removing leaves), and ensuring all lines are easily accessible.
Ensure each area has proper fencing and security guards to prevent livestock from entering the sisal drying yard.
Verify that all security measures are in place, including functioning security lights every evening.
Hand over all stocks in the drying yard to the night guard in the evening and ensure accurate handover back in the morning.
Ensure that the distribution of fibers is carried out properly and that sisal fibers are cleaned and stored correctly in the brush room.
Verify that the fibers from the corona match those that reach the drying area.
