Job Description

  • Inspects CKD or SKD for obvious damage and missing major components.
  • Inspects vehicles for loose or misaligned items such as the swingarm, side covers, and hardware.
  • Records discrepancies and signs or otherwise acknowledges an acceptance slip for each vehicle delivered.
  • Performs repairs and replaces defective items with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Ensures that Missing & Damaged repairs are properly documented and charged.
  • Starts the engine and drives the vehicle to test steering, brakes, gears, and engine operation.
  • Activates power equipment such as electric wiring kits, mobile chargers, horns, lights, and signal indicators to ensure specified operating standards.
  • Inspects surfaces to detect minor paint damages and scratches. If touch-ups are required, the technician is responsible for performing them.
  • Inspects the fuel tank for damages and scratches. If denting work is required, the technician is responsible for performing it.
  • Tunes the engine if required, using technician tools and test equipment.
  • Washes and polishes vehicles if required.
  • Keeps the assembly plant clean and tidy at all times.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition after completion of assembly.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner and maintains them in good condition, including pneumatic tools, compressors, compressor lines, etc.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to the plant manager.
  • Before assembling equipment, the PDI supervisor is responsible for checking that the equipment is in good condition.
  • The PDI Supervisor will be responsible for inspecting 2-wheel and 3-wheel vehicles before handing them over for sale.
  • The PDI Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that he or she works correctly and efficiently without any problems.
  • The PDI Supervisor is responsible for inspecting the CKD & SKD boxes. If any damage or missing components are found, he must report them to the plant manager.
  • The Assembly PDI Supervisor is responsible for verifying the parts while opening the CKD/SKD kits.
  • Monitors the functioning of all equipment/parts and reports any problems or substandard conditions to the plant manager.
  • Ensures all logbooks are maintained according to the SOP (e.g., Battery/PDI Stickers, etc.).
  • Performs cleaning of all CKD & SKD parts during assembly, following established cleaning procedures.
  • Performs final checks and pre-adjustments for any loose fitments that the PDI Supervisor must inspect.
  • Performs installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting of products as required, under the PDI Supervisor’s observation.
  • Develops assembly and PDI checking procedures to ensure the production of quality products.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Use of Equipment and Other Maintenance
  • The PDI Supervisor is responsible for maintaining equipment and work efficiency.
  • All employees must take care of machinery and equipment and ensure that no damage or loss occurs during the performance of their duties. If any employee is identified as responsible for damage or loss, the PDI Supervisor must report it to the plant manager.
  • When an employee completes their duties, they should clean up their work area and equipment under the PDI Supervisor’s observation.
  • The PDI Supervisor will be required to ensure the maintenance and safety of equipment and carry out repairs/maintenance on work equipment, such as pneumatic motorcycle locking equipment and windmills (compressors).
