Job Description

Coordinate Transportation Requirements: Collaborate with all transport officers and the transport manager to determine transportation needs and schedule the delivery of products to customers.
Assess Local Transportation Resources: Evaluate local transportation infrastructure and resources, and manage the contracting of transportation assets as required.
Manage Vehicle Movement: Effectively coordinate the movement of vehicles and other transportation assets to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain Vehicle Documentation: Ensure all required documents are handed over to the drivers of loaded trucks before dispatch.
Develop Management Systems: Create or enhance systems to efficiently manage the movement of vehicles and personnel.
Produce Reports: Prepare and submit daily reports on dispatched trucks.
Act as Liaison: Serve as the liaison between the transport and central sales units to ensure maximum utilization of the company’s vehicle fleet.
