Job Description

Implement HSE Policies, Advise and support stakeholders to ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations and safe working environment for all employees.
Conduct comprehensive Risk study & Assessment to Identify workplace hazards and implement controls.
Conduct accident/Incident Investigation, determine root causes & implement preventive/Control measures.
Conduct daily site inspections, intervenes in unsafe acts, and ensure adherence to PPE and safety rules.
Conduct/Coordinate toolbox talks and ensure supervisors conduct them at the start of each shift or activity.
Document and maintain all HSE-related records and control the flow of HSE information.
Coordinate with management during external audits, inspections, and statutory compliance checks.
Conduct internal audits, review effectiveness of control measures, and recommend improvements.
Coordinate with government agencies for statutory auditing & implementation of recommendations.
Prepare/submit HSE reports to HSE manager, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain & Update HSE File to ensure validity of certificates, permits, and licenses appropriately.
Develop training matrix & Conduct in-house HSE training sessions to create awareness & implement safe systems of work-PTW.
Prepare and manage the HSE budget, including CAPEX, OPEX, emergencies, and training needs.
Develop emergency response plans/critical safety equipment inspection schedules & implement review after drill performance for improvement & efficiency.
Ensure safety of all procured equipment during installation & Operation and requisite inspections.
Ensure Environmental management compliance by monitoring waste disposal, emissions and effluents.
Steer Occupational Health and Safety committee operations, ensuring effective consultations and quarterly meetings.
Establish Periodical HSE procedures & Senior management Reviews & advice on improvements required.
Implement any other International Good Industry Practices & Procedures applicable to our operations.
Advice management on Specific Health & Safety concern that arises and poses health risk.
Become the Principal Advisor & Person of contact on all HSE Related matters to the unit Head.
Carry out any additional HSE tasks delegated by the Group HSE Manager or management.
