- Advise, support, and coordinate with HBU, managers, and employees on HSE obligations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE laws and standards, promoting safe working practices.
- Identify workplace hazards and develop plans to mitigate risks to people, the environment, and property.
- Consult with internal stakeholders (SHEREPs, Trade Unions, employees, etc.) on occupational health and safety matters.
- Act as Secretary of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, ensuring effective consultation through quarterly meetings.
- Prepare and manage the HSE budget, considering CAPEX, OPEX, emergencies, training, and upcoming initiatives.
- Implement HSE policies and standards, ensuring their effective application at the workplace.
- Conduct risk assessments and help determine risk profiles and prioritization.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, including training and equipment procurement.
- Oversee the purchasing and use of safety equipment and services.
- Investigate accidents and near misses, identify root causes, and prevent recurrence.

- Conduct daily site rounds, addressing unsafe acts and behaviors.
- Ensure supervisors conduct toolbox talks before each shift/activity.
- Participate in risk assessments and communicate findings.
- Prepare and use checklists to inspect work areas for compliance with HSE standards.
- Document inspection reports and discuss findings in meetings.
- Review the effectiveness of control measures and suggest improvements.

- Attend weekly meetings with the Group HSE Manager to discuss HSE progress.
