Job Description

Supervise the loading of fuel into trucks (before and after loading).
Take opening meter readings before loading.
The loader collects and verifies the loading ticket from the driver and confirms the product and quantity to be loaded.
The loader collects the truck’s calibration certificate from the driver and confirms the volume of ullage per compartment as recorded on the ticket.
Check the water dip in each compartment and ensure there is no presence of water before starting the loading process.
Ensure all compartment offloading valves are properly closed before loading.
Record the vehicle number, loading ticket/order number, and quantity to be loaded on the meter record form before commencing loading.
Pre-set the exact quantity to be loaded on the load controller as per the loading ticket/order.
Monitor the flow rate for each meter intermittently to avoid delays.
Liaise with the Safety/Fire Department to ensure all standard safety procedures are followed during trucking operations.
Record the final meter reading and the actual quantity loaded on the meter record form and loading ticket upon completion of truck loading.
Assist the driver in taking dips of all compartments and record the actual ullage as required.
Ensure opening and closing meter readings are correctly recorded in the logbook/loading ticket after loading each compartment/truck.
Check for GFI marking on loaded trucks.
Ensure proper sealing of loaded trucks after completion of loading.
