Job Description

  • Plan and develop the maintenance of all factory machinery to improve overall factory efficiency. Implement daily, weekly, and monthly machinery maintenance schedules.
  • Plan in advance the requirements for spares, lubricants, and other materials to ensure smooth factory operations and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the installation of new machinery.
  • Manage logistical support for estate activities.
  • Arrange work schedules for all subordinates and ensure proper utilization of manpower.
  • Maintain the entire vehicle fleet, including tractors, to reduce breakdowns.
  • Develop and implement a maintenance schedule for all vehicles.
  • Monitor and document fuel usage daily, by vehicle and task.
  • Ensure production is not affected by breakdowns of any machinery or vehicles.
  • Handle all civil contracts within the estate.
  • Obtain quotations, evaluate cost-effectiveness, and advise management on the best way to execute the work.
  • Follow up on the progress of all contractual works from start to finish, ensuring that work meets the required standards.
  • Provide management with weekly and monthly reports on the engineering department’s activities.
  • Follow up on documentation and records related to engineering.
  • Train subordinates and develop the human resource pool within the engineering department.
  • Provide weekly and monthly targets for supervisors.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly performance appraisals for supervisors and staff in the engineering department.
