Job Description

• Machinery and Equipment Maintenance:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Ensure efficient and smooth operation of machinery to improve factory performance.
• Plan and manage spare parts and lubricants inventory to minimize downtime.

• Installation and Logistical Support:
• Oversee the installation of new machinery and ensure their smooth integration into the operation.
• Manage logistical support activities within the estate for optimal operation.
• Workforce Management:
• Develop work schedules for subordinates and ensure proper manpower utilization.
• Train and develop the engineering team to improve overall department performance.
• Conduct performance appraisals and set weekly/monthly targets for supervisors.
• Vehicle Fleet and Fuel Management:
• Maintain the vehicle fleet (including tractors) to reduce breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.
• Monitor fuel usage daily by documenting vehicle-wise and task-wise fuel consumption.
• Civil Contracts and Project Management:
• Oversee civil contracts within the estate, from obtaining quotations to project execution.
• Ensure all works meet required standards and follow up on progress to completion.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Provide regular (weekly/monthly) reports to management regarding engineering department activities.
• Ensure proper documentation for all maintenance and engineering-related processes.
• Cost Control and Performance Metrics:
  • Factory efficiency
  • Power and maintenance cost control
  • Fuel efficiency and logistics
  • Breakdown hours and machine downtime
  • Roller sharpening and changing efficiency
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), such as:
• Focus on reducing costs without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
• Training and Development:
• Develop a human resource pool within the engineering department by training subordinates and encouraging professional growth.
