Job Description

  • Check all newly installed GPS devices to ensure they are functioning properly and coordinate with the vendor or technical team for any issues.
  • Prepare daily reports on GPS installations, device inspections, and device replacements.
  • Monitor alerts and non-responsive devices in real time and coordinate with vendors or the field recovery team as required.
  • Follow up with internal teams to ensure timely rectification and root cause analysis of non-responsive GPS devices and other actionable vehicle alerts.
  • Immobilize vehicles when required, based on management requests or as per the SOP, where immobilizers are installed.
  • Provide support to technicians, supervisors, and the Unit Head whenever required.
  • Generate and submit periodic reports and control room-related reports as requested by the operations and management team.
  • Support field coordinators in the allocation of technicians and ensure smooth operational activities.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, flexible, and innovative approach while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Accompany technicians, GPS service providers, or recovery teams on field visits whenever required.
  • Conduct periodic visits to plants and vendor locations to ensure proper checks and balances and provide guidance on GPS-related matters.
  • Maintain records of all GPS devices and relays received and issued, and publish weekly status reports.
  • Create and manage geofencing for all vehicles and ensure that critical alerts and incidents are promptly reported to management.
  • Prepare daily offline device reports for both morning and evening shifts and coordinate efforts to restore devices online.
  • Respond promptly to customer and agent inquiries related to GPS operations.
  • Monitor all GPS devices to ensure they remain online and operational, and coordinate repairs or replacements whenever technical issues arise.
  • Remain open to job rotation, movement across functions, and additional responsibilities, demonstrating sound decision-making skills when handling critical matters.
