Job Description

Responsible for the P&L of the business and for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual targets as per the Annual Business Plan.
• Review and approve commercial credit proposals, ensuring an appropriate balance between returns and risk exposure, and defining credit limits based on financial assessments.
• Lead a team of credit approvers and collection officers to ensure a high standard of credit quality across the portfolio, utilizing various credit assessment tools.
• Oversee the development, implementation, review, and monitoring of credit programs, while providing training and coaching to continuously enhance team competency.
• Review and develop credit approval policies and guidelines, and participate in ad hoc investigative or troubleshooting projects related to specific customer portfolios.
• Ensure debt recovery procedures are fully effective, utilizing all available recovery options to maximize outcomes, and manage any ‘extreme’ credit control situations.
• Monitor the credit granting process, ensuring consistent application of the credit policy, conducting periodic reviews of existing customers, and assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers to optimize the balance between sales and bad debt.
• Ensure all business-related activities related to MOFCL administration, secretarial, statutory, legal matters, branch management, and working capital efficiency are properly followed.
• Implement and utilize appropriate systems and processes for loan assessment, disbursement, and collections.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and submit required weekly, monthly, and regulatory reports to management and the credit bureau as per banking regulations.
• Liaise with auditors, head office, and statutory agencies on financial matters, ensuring full adherence to BOT guidelines.
• Maintain a departmental organizational structure capable of meeting all goals and objectives, and measure departmental performance using appropriate metrics.
